Treasure Ring with Stand

"Treasure Ring" w/Rosewood stand. This commission was inspired by a Christian Dior "Lipstick Compact" Ring, supplied by the client. Taking 18 months to complete, the model was turned on a lathe, wax-carved, and fabricated in three sections. Once the ring was completed, it became obvious that this ring should never sit in a drawer but displayed on a shelf like a treasure box. Woodturning by Herb Fielder. .
